I finished

My computer is being stupid (or maybe I'm the stupid one) and it won't rotate my picture! Anyway, here's the completed pattern for the Darn, Darn, Darn wallet. The sample on the leaflet has a plaid fabric for the lining, which I like.. but my plaid has pink in it and there isn't any pink in the pattern. Do you think it might work? Or should I stick with the green? The little needlebook will go on the top inside flap of the wallet. I don't really like the back, the part with my name, but nobody will see that anyway, I guess!:) Those darning stitches were a pain!

Good Golly! If you click on the picture you can really see it HUGE! Wow!

I like the plaid fabric, but my concern would be if the pink clashes with the purple thread in the piece. I can't tell from the pictures so maybe it's close enough that it wouldn't matter.

The other fabric is really pretty, too, and it goes really well with the green threads.

But the plaid sort of echoes the pattern of the darning/weaving section. I'm no good at making up my mind about things like this. :)

I like both fabrics but the plaid is my favorite. But, give me any choice like this and I'll choose the plaid...so maybe I shouldn't give advice...

BTW, great stitching, this is a really sweet design!

Go for the plaid. I think you will find it looks beautiful. Your needlebook is very beautiful. Nice job.

Are you sure! Even with the pink? I went to Joann's today and they had NO lavendar and green plaids! Duh! I did pick up a plain green and cream plaid..but it's sort of boring! Thanks for your opinions! I'll hopefully get to finish next week!

I'm eager to see it finished. So far, it looks good. Did you try Hobby Lobby?

I don't have a vote but just wanted to say that I LOVE your finished piece! You did a fantastic job. It will be great to see it finished, no matter what fabric you choose. :-)
